What do you know about poetry? Using your background knowledge of poetic elements, listen to the song and try and identify as many poetic elements as you can. What are your thoughts about each song? What did the song make you feel?

Onomatopoeia •Onomatopoeia is the use of words whose sounds echo their meaning.
Personification •Giving human qualities/traits to an inanimate object.
Hyperbole •A hyperbole is an extreme exaggeration.
