Why Sixth Form College? We specialise in 16-19 education We offer flexibility whilst also providing the chance to explore the future and specialise At 16, young people may still enjoy a range of subjects – generally take 3 subjects They may also want a mixture of exams and coursework
Changes toA-levels A-levels are now 2-year qualifications, with examinations at the end of the 2 years. There is more examined content and less coursework (with the exception of Art & Design subjects). Most students start and finish 3 A levels or equivalent – no opportunity to stop at the end of one year If students have high grades they can choose to study 4 A levels, but must carry all through for 2 years
A Variety of Qualifications A Levels Vocational Level 3 courses International Baccalaureate - Varndean College only Extended Project Qualification (AS level) Pre-advanced courses – GCSEs and Vocational Level 2 courses
