  4. Key Features • Videos, pdfs, and weblinks • Remix tool directly embedded into the plattform • Game elements (levelling) to foster platform activities • Video categories oriented on handcraft • Cyber workers • E-portfolio area for creating video link in addition to general application

Key ideas • Young people at any stage of the school-to-work transition-process and their vocational education • peer-orientation to substitute missing vocational socialisation of family • Peer learning through remix functions • Master remix: teachers and professionals can reuse the material www.itb.uni-bremen.de

  6. Digital divide • Social disadvantaged youth are more consumers rather then prosumers • Digital divide in class room through lack of media competent teachers • Digital divide between media competent youth and media sceptic employees www.itb.uni-bremen.de

  7. Questions • Web 2.0 are tools as a means to pick up social disadvantaged young people where they are. But how to integrate them in „analog“ or „Web 1.0“ educational system? • How to create Web 2.0 tools that are inclusive enough in their pedagogy and will not only support competent young people? www.itb.uni-bremen.de
