  2. Welcome! Among Us • Form triads with one elementary, middle and high school representative. • Have a conversation. Find 3 commonalities among yourselves. Examples: Among us we have 32 years of teaching experience, 3 ESL endorsements…

  3. Essential Questions • How do vertical conversations support students PreK-12? • How do we intentionally structure conversations, and what do we study to support our students? • How do we build a sustainable vertical community of learners?

  4. Objectives • Build community • Visit growth mindset • Explore NACS for Speaking & Listening • Plan for continuing the conversation

  5. What is a vertical learning team? • A vertical learning team is a group of educators from different grade levels who work cooperatively to implement best practices. • The solution oriented conversation is anchored in the knowledge needed to engage all students in a higher level of learning.
