Leilaland Mission • You have been selected to participate in ACF integration seminar for a mission in expatriation. • In order to prepare this seminar and to enable you to better estimate different issues related to your future position, we suggest you to project yourself onto this fictitious mission "Leilaland". • This case will immerse you in situations you're likely to encounter as part of your mission and to raise awareness on the importance of teamwork, whatever your position is. • "Leilaland" is a fictional case based on ACF experience and activities.

Leilabeach ACF Base • Office and guest house ruined • 1 local employee killed, several team members affected with loss of material and relatives • Many documents lost (data, works on process, files…)
Seism D + 10 D + 30 D + 6 months Rehabilitationprogram: going from emergency response to sustainable solutions Emergency: needs assessment, sending of stocks (food and non food items) and human resources sending Team and activities organization according to population needs Continuation of activities and rehabilitation preparation Earthquake – Reacting to emergency… • Leilabeach: in order to face emergency, ACF has conducted needs assessments that helped identifying population main needs. Activities implemented during the following weeks, thanks to exceptional fundraising and new donors, are mainly as follows: • Food security and livelihoods: emergency aid (non food items and food distribution), cash for work • Nutrition and mental health: nutrition surveys, construction of new Outpatient Therapeutic Points in place of former health centers, tents installation to welcome mothers and children, play sessions, breastfeeding support. • WASH: water trucking, toilets construction/rehabilitation, hygiene promotion • Leilamount: Same activities as before the earthquake are ongoing. In addition some stocks are sent to Leilabeach, as well as human resources to support Leilabeach team to face emergency. • Leilacity (main city): reinforcement of coordination team.
