The table is rotated and radiation emitted from the system is measured at many azimuth and elevation angles over the hemisphere above it. Regulations require measurement of the radiation from MHz to 6 GHz at each point. What is Electromagnetic Compatibility? Faults and faulty design cause some electronic equipment to emit electromagnetic radiation that interferes with other electronic equipment. To protect against such equipment, all equipment sold in US must demonstrate compliance with: United State’s FCC Part 15 Regulations. These rules establish limits on radiated and conducted emissions for all devices having clock frequencies from 9 kHz to 6 GHz. Similar rules apply around the world. Pre-Compliance Radiated (will use near field techniques) Pre-Compliance Conducted SEMESTER GOALS Refresh ECE skills. Build and test PWM audio amplifer for radiated and conducted emissions.
