No Field Trip List • You may not go on field trips if you go over 9 unexcused absences • Once you go on the list you do not come off the list until the new semester
STUDENT DISCIPLINE • Prohibited Conduct • Disrespect/Insubordination (any school employee) • Disruptive behavior • Assaulting, or threatening to assault or physically abusing a student or employee • Possession of a weapon • Possession or use of tobacco • Possession of laser pointer
STUDENT DISCIPLINE • Damaging or stealing school property • Possession, selling, distributing, or being under the influence of an alcoholic beverage, any illegal drug, or the use or sharing of prescription or over the counter drugs or paraphernalia • Public displays of affection • Cheating, copying, or claiming another student’s work • Gambling • Inappropriate dress • Out of Area
STUDENT DISCIPLINE • Vulgar, profane, or obscene gestures • Truancy • Excessive tardiness • Engaging in behavior designed to taunt, degrade, or ridicule another person on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, or disability • Hazing • Gangs or gang related activities
STUDENT DISCIPLINE • Sexual harassment • Bullying • Skateboards • CD players, headphones, electronic games and IPOD • Use or display of a cell phone during the regular day • Fighting and/or acts of violence
Tobacco • First Violation—One day Out-of-School Suspension • Second Violation—Three days Out-of-School Suspension • Third Violation—Suspension from school, consideration for alternative school and legal referral • Drugs and Alcohol • Level One Offense—Immediate Out-of-School suspension for up to 10 days, disciplinary hearing (Altern. School or expulsion) • Level Two Offense—Immediate Out-of-School suspension for up to 10 days, disciplinary hearing (Altern. School or expulsion for 1 yr.)
Student Medications • Violations of the Student Medication Policy • Possession of any kind of medication • Results in 3 days ISS • A student gives an over-the-counter medication to another student • Results in 10 days OSS or ALE placement • Violation of Drug and Alcohol Policy for a student to sell a medication or give a prescription medication to another student
Conduct To and From School/Transportation • Obey and respect the driver • Be at your stop on time • Enter and leave the bus quickly • No eating, drinking or gum chewing • No knives or sharp objects, firearms, or live animals • No tampering with safety devices • Keep seated while bus is in motion
No hands or bodies out of the window • No yelling at anyone outside the bus • No glass containers or balloons • No defacing the bus • Keep aisle clean • Only get off at your regular stop • Try to be on the right side of the road waiting on the bus • Do not distract the driver
Student Dress and Grooming • Wear shoes • Boys wear pants/shorts and a shirt • Dresses, shirts, and blouses must have sleeves and cannot expose any part of the midriff or back • Pants, shorts, dresses and skirts will be no more than four (4) inches above the knees • The top of the waistband must be no lower than the top of the hipbone
Clothing and accessories not allowed, include but not limited to: • Caps, hats, toboggans, do-rags, bandanas etc. • Skirts and long dresses that have slits exceeding the 4 inches above the knee • Sagging and/or excessively loose clothing (straps on pants/skirts) • Clothing that displays obscenities, violence, sexual implications, reference to alcohol, tobacco or illegal substances • Chains (e.g. Wallet chains) • Inappropriate holes in pants
Clothing and accessories not allowed, include but not limited to: • See-through blouses • Body shirts • Shorts not hemmed • Pajamas and/or house shoes • Other extreme styles, hair or clothing, that may disrupt school
