  4. Pre-Lab Assignment • Procedure You need to do a total of three flow charts. Summarize the different steps in the boxes of the flow chart. Make sure to use a RULER to draw your boxes. An example is provided in the following slide.

  5. Part I: Floating Paper Clip Beaker with 400 mL of water Drop paper clip in water Use bent paper clip to place a second paper clip in water until it floats Apply drop of liquid soap using toothpick

Make sure you research the information in order for you answers to be more complete and for you to understand the information better. • Explain why water has a greater surface tension than other liquids. • What effect does soap have on water´s surface tension?
