Esterline Project • 2/2008 -Esterline contacts EDC Snohomish County to identify sites as close to Seattle as possible. • EDC, Snohomish County (Paine Field Airport) and the City of Everett collaborated to create short list. • Esterline selected Paine Field location as best technical match and site to meet aggressive project schedule.
A public/private partnership began with Paine Field setting the stage making all decision makers available to negotiate and execute company and project’s needs. • Negotiations with Capstone Partners and Snohomish County went smoothly and the ground lease was executed in seven days.
Broke ground 7/2008 • Construction start would not have happened without close collaboration with Paine Field and County Planning and Development Services. • Permit processes streamlined • Korry Resource Fair for Workforce • Project 14 months start to finish • Ribbon Cutting 9/28/2009
Metrics and Evaluation • Esterline Project retained employees in Washington State • 600 full-time • Created new jobs • 35 full-time
