  2. ATTENTION New Grading Policy in Effect REASONING • To change grades from reward to communication • The 100% scale is too big to be accurate • This new policy is meant to more truthfully report student learning to students, me (their teacher), and you (their parents)

  3. This is a new program. Please note that this means there could be modifications as the year goes on. However, the intention of this grading plan is to allow students • a greater opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of the curriculum • to improve academic performance • to increase student accountability.

  4. Redo’s (The Good News) Students may redo assessments in lieu of extra credit, but more importantly, to demonstrate mastery of knowledge or a skill.
