Vocabulary • For each vocabulary word, you will be required to write each part in your vocabulary section: • Word • Part of speech • Definition • Your own sentence • 2 synonyms
Binders (Sophomores) Binders are worth 20% of your grade, and are graded based on completion, neatness, and organization It is YOUR responsibility to keep up with your binder – this includes notes, writing assignments, handouts, etc. Please do NOT throw away anything before we are finished with a unit – I will be looking for each piece on the binder list for the unit
Late Work • Late Work Policy Update: • 1 day late (20% off) • Anytime up to 1 week late (50% off) • After that, I will NOT accept late work • There is definitely NO WORK accepted for a previous unit • You have as many days as you were absent to make up work AND tests/quizzes • Check my teacher page or with another responsible student to find out what you missed
Synergy I do NOT have your grades memorized! Check Synergy on a regular basis to see what your grades are If there is a 0 for an assignment, it means I have not received it – look at the due date to see if you can make it up and for how many points
Respectful Behavior • Reminder of class rules • No more food! • If I see it, I will ask you to throw it away or put it in your backpack • If I have to ask a second time, I will confiscate it myself • 1 person at a time to the bathroom
Meaning of Life Notes Draw a circle map on a sheet of paper What are the top things that add meaning to our lives? Why do you think these are at the top?
Reminders If you have a smartphone, please download scanapp or a similar QR code reader for Thursday If you bring the exact copy of Man’s Search for Meaning on Friday for the unit, I will give you a HW pass!
