1. Solar Max is Coming!!! Are you ready?

2. Solar Max Solar Max is a NASA secret mission specialist. He will pilot a spaceship, which can visit any of the planets in our solar system, and launch a probe to study the planets. He needs your help to carry out his mission.

3. Solar Max: He receives instructions from the Planetary High Command, which he will pass along to you on a TOP SECRET need to know basis.

4. Your Mission…Should you choose to accept it….

5. You will be leaving Earth and travelling to the Moon, where you will receive your TOP-SECRET mission papers. You will be in charge of choosing the appropriate supplies for the unmanned probe robot that will be launched to one of the planets.

6. An Unmanned Probe An unmanned probe is like a robot that NASA sends to planets to study them. No humans go with it, so no astronauts will get hurt if the probe runs into trouble.

7. Before you embark on your mission… • You will need to know a few things: • Something about our sun. • The order of the planets from the sun. • A little about each of the planets. • Something about gravity in space.

8. When you click on the sun you will hear from Tim and Moby. They will spew dozens of fun facts about our very own star (yes, the sun is really a star), the sun! You’ll find out about its huge size as well as just how hot it is, both on the surface and in the sun’s middle parts (let’s just say you’d fry if you got anywhere near it)! You’ll also discover what the sun’s made of, as well as how it got its start way back at the beginning of our solar system’s history. And, you can find out what neat things go on near the sun’s surface, while getting pointers about how to protect yourself from the sun’s powerful rays. This movie is “solarly” cool, man! The Sun

The Planets • Our solar system contains: • The sun • 9 Planets (or 8 if you take away Pluto). • All the planets revolve around the sun • The sun uses gravitational force (pull) on each planet to keep all of the planets in orbit around it. • The planets all exert gravitational force (pull) on their moons and any spacecraft that come near them. • A bigger planet exerts a greater gravitational force than a smaller planet.

16. Outer Planets are made mostly of frozen gases. Their surfaces are colder than the inner planets because they are farther away from the sun. Most outer planets have many moons.

17. Pluto: Is It really a planet???Some scientists now believe that Pluto is really just a moon that once belonged to Neptune.Anyway, it is now called a dwarf planet.
