Transfer the knowledge from Lab to Land and demonstrate the achievements of the entire poverty alleviation program and get hold of feedback for improvements in training, communication and overall implementation strategy, with the maturing of the intervention in the selected one block in a districtt OUTLAY TO OUTCOME BASED DELIVERABLES IN THE BLOCK

METHODOLOGY • INTEGRATED HAND HOLDING SUPPORT TO PR INSTITUTIONS, DEPARTMENT FUNCTIONARIES AND CIVIL SOCIETIES IN THE BLOCK • FOR ADOPTING BEST PRACTICES AND INNOVATIONS TO ACHIEVE THE GOAL THROUGH FOCUSSED IEC, TRAINING, MONITORING & EVALUATION • DEVELOPMENT OF AREA SPECIFIC TRAINING CONTENT IN LOCAL LANGUAGE AND DIALECTS FOR MASS OUTREACH • CREATION OF A POOL OF COMMUNITY BASED RESOURCE PERSONS FOR CONDUCTING TRAINING AND ASSISDTING IN PLANNING • INVOLVEMENT OF YOUTH AND MEMBERS OF WOMEN SHGs AND CBOs IN CONDUCTION OF MASS AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS AND INITIATIVES AND INVOLVEMENT OF HELPLINES MADE UNDER RGSY, etc. • STRENGTHENING OF SHG FEDERATIONS AND COOPEREATIVES FOR ENSURING SUSTAINED GROWTH OF RURAL ENTERPRISES AND RURAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Actions for Implementation Translating the objectives of the all flagship programmes(100%) Convergence of Programmes and Resources for meaningful capacity building for better management & service delivery… Awareness generation and orientation of people for affirmative action Developing planning, organizing, audit, and leadership ability among people Developing an action plan on NRM,,,Land, Water and Forest Resources Develop livestock & fisheries,other non farm based skill development training action plan for sustainable lilelihood of different stakeholders Organization of Groups to fight social evils Developing Infrastructure and Connectivity Providing Housing with Sanitation and Electricity Provide safe drinking water Developing and marketing human skills, surplus farm produce, distribute earnings and pay off debt Carrying out Training audit clinlic.RTI Clinics, impact study & social audit Organizing annual award function Many more as emerged from consultation with the community…..

  7. ACTIONS SO ENVISAGED & PLANNED…. • Orientation of Officials, PRIs, Community Resource Institutions / Persons on Thematic issues. (Action : Director, SIRD). • Prioritization and scheduling of actions through Block Level Action Plan Preparation. (Action : BDO, Kantapada and PD, DRDA, Cuttack). • Identification of nodal persons in each Department. (Action : PD, DRDA, Cuttack). • BDO to act as Chief Block Coordinator(Action : PD, DRDA, Cuttack

Sharing of Action Plan with CRPs and the Community (Action : BDO, Kantapada and SIRD). • Setting up of a Community Radio (Action : PD, DRDA, Cuttack and BDO, Kantapada). • Cultural Troops, NREGS Rath, Pamphlets, Leaflets and Programme related IEC materials. (Action : Director, SIRD, PD, DRDA, Cuttack and BDO, Kantapada). • Request Department of Field Publicity / Song & Drama Division of MoI&B, GoI for Publicity(Action : Joint Secretary, MoRD, GoI). • Conduct of Capacity Building initiative of different stake holder of the Block(Action : Director, SIRD).

  9. Project Management Cell at SIRD (Action : Director, Special Projects) • Selection of Nodal Officer for the Block (Action : Heads of different Line Departments attending the meeting). • Convergence of Resources and IEC Action Plan for the Project (Action : Heads of different Line Departments attending the meeting). • Documentation of the experience and process. (Action : BDO, Kantapada) • Coverage of 4 Blocks in the State over a period of one year and nomination of the Block(Action : Director, Special Projects).

  10. Replication of the initiative in other Blocks as per the lesson learnt of this initiative.(Action : PD, DRDA). • Submission of the Action Plan to SIRD by Block for onward transmission to MoRD by 24th August, 2010. (Action : BDO, Kantapada).
