Why Continue Planning After District 203 Referendum? • Planning Process is More Than Central High School • Landowners & Lease Tenants Agree Opportunities Exist to Consider: • Roadway Improvements • Campus Identity • Shared Parking / Stormwater • Shared Improvements/Facilities • Landowner / Tenant Long-Term Land Use Plans • Need Public Input. How Did this Planning Effort Get Started? 2006 • Appreciation for Many Changes on Horizon… • Central High School – New Building or Renovation • Knoch Park Reorganization to Improve Efficiency and address field needs • Lease Agreements between NPD and District 203 Ending with Naperville Cemetery • Naper Settlement Long-Term Expansion Plans • Edward Hospital Expansions/Improvements • City Coordinated a Survey Effort among Stakeholders www.naperville.il.us/mitchell.aspx

Emma Von Oven Scout Reservation ~ Naperville Cemetery Association What’s Been Done So Far? 2007, continued • Issues & Opportunities Report Prepared by HL (June) • Agreement among landowners / lease tenants worthwhile to continue planning effort (June) • HL hired by City, NPD & District 203 to prepare some initial concepts for discussion (August) • Landowners and lease tenants considered each concept. No preferred plan.

Next Steps … • Public Input • Specific property plans will likely involve additional public input.
