Enthusiasm: Take Knute Rockne, or any other historical coaching figure, for example. How do they motivate their team to top performance? • They are all enthusiastic! This is almost a guaranty that your team of players or employees, co-workers, etc. will perform for you. • Enthusiasm is contagious! Enthusiasm is Contagious
Don’t just cheerlead: get involved and stay involved. A good coach can do wonders for morale and increase self-motivation. • Develop and train your subordinates. They don’t want to work for your forever! Enthusiasm Comes from the Coach
I may have the best workers in the world working for me (or at least after I’m done implementing this book, I should!). But, they don’t want to work for me forever. • Find out what they want, and get them ready for it. Enthusiasm Comes from the Coach, cont.
Find out what their needs, wants, desires are. Get to know them. • Prepare your subordinates for growth • As a result, earn more trust and achieve better efforts Coaching for Success(Yours and theirs)
