  1. 5 Effective Social Distancing Tips For Onsite Employees

  2. Make Space Several companies are there that require onsite employees. Hence, it is must that employees in those companies should follow the six-feet distance rules among them, besides the other guidelines suggested by CDC for the workplaces. Posting the banners or social distancing floor stickers will not be enough to ensure the distancing. As most of the companies will have issues with space, they may need to think about alternate working days or shifting duties to divide the workforce.

  3. Start a No-Visitor Policy The current situation is not appropriate to allow outside people in the office. Hence, offices must take strict no-visitors policy. Companies should allow only authorized persons inside the office. Further, try to restrict the deliveries inside the office as it can enhance the chance of contamination among the employees. Besides, the employees who don’t need to come to the office regularly should be instructed to present if needed.

  4. Meet Remotely Even Onsite The type of job may require to come down to the office, but authorities must restrict the physical meetings. For the discussions associated with the shifts, collaborative endeavors, and other issues, employees should use the tools like Skype, Google meets, or Zoom. Further, ensure that employees must have personal devices such as laptops for work. Even if the employees are meeting onsite, consider online platforms for it.

  5. Redesign Workspace Physical distancing is a must-follow practice. However, all the offices don’t have the space to make the employees sit at six feet distance. In those cases, place a partition wall between the employees. You can add plexiglass dividers at the work stations. It will allow you to accommodate multiple people within a small space. However, in common areas like the pantry and restrooms, you can consider placing physical social distancing floor stickers to aware of the employees.

  6. Help Their Mental Health, too The current coronavirus situation is putting lots of stress on the mind of people. Your employees are not any exception. Healthy employees are key parameters for efficient productivity. Hence, being an employer, you must take care of their mental health. You can hold a social meeting for your employees to do chitchat and relax. You can arrange yoga classes or can set up a small gym for the employees. Finally, consider giving breaks to the employees to keep them relaxed.
