What makes a person thrive in their job is looking at it like a career choice and not just a chore that they have to do from day to day. A person needs to be passionate about what they do and being a doula should be no exception.
Providing Emotion and Physical Support to People It takes an emotional toll on you and at times I question why I do what I do. The answer is very simple. “I love what I do.”
A doula knows that every pregnancy is going to be different and they are well aware of the emotional strain it will not only have of the new mother but also on them if they allow it.

A doula that has double certification in both birth and post-partum can offer added benefits. Having someone like a doula who is there to provide comfort and help during the first few days or even weeks after the birth of a baby if beneficial to the family unit as a whole.
A doula takes pride in ensuring that the family is secure and helps teach them how to cope with the changes that are taking place in their lives. A doula knows that they are there to lead a family through a journey.
