Main Points • -Moves away from 1965 Immigration Act priority of family reunification and moves towards the allocation of skilled professionals. • Creates a merit based visa with two tracks. • Repeal the diversity visa program.
Employment • Two-Way Track Point based or merit system • Points given based on employment, family, skills • Some categories are worth more points • Track Two • non citizens residing in the country can apply based on how long they have been waiting for a visa and their family and employment status.
