Homework • Most week nights • Occasional weekends • Approximately 15 minutes • Read 5 nights/wk for 30 minutes (Mon-Thurs, Once on Weekend) Please initial calendar & record number of minutes. • It is important to inform me of difficulty with homework. Adjustment can take place. • Must be completed regularly, accurately and neatly.
Agenda Your child has been provided with an agenda that will be used on a daily basis for the following: • Recording Homework Assignments • Parent/Teacher Communication Please initial your child’s agenda each night to ensure that it is being used effectively. I will do the same.

Behavior Management System • The blue card day! Blue card means your child has had a good day and followed all classroom rules. Green card means your child has broken one rule or has not complied with a request. (Warning) Yellow card means your child has broken two rules or has not complied with two requests. (Consequence - possible contact home) Red card means your child has broken three rules or requests. (Consequence - Consequence and possible contact home) • Catch them being good! Earn tickets and hold drawing for extra privileges. Gumballs! AR Goals!
Birthdays • You’re welcome to bring a snack to school on or around your child’s birthday. We have 24 children. Any day is fine, just let me know when you’re coming! • If planning an out of school party, please do not bring invitations to school.
Parties • Our class will be celebrating different holidays, as well as other festivities, throughout the year. Sign-up sheets are available if you can donate.
