TCMS V2 – INTRODUCTION • TCMS V2 is a software for all FingerTec models (one software to handle all models means saving time to learn and familiarize with it) • TCMS V2 is a software application that features both time attendance and door access and comes bundled together with the product. • The software comes in 14 different languages in order to suit various markets both local and international. • Easy upgrade – Free upgrades and installation downloads are available online from anywhere. • TCMS V2 comes with user manual and user guide VCD that allows self learning • More technical guidelines and advices are posted online free at http://user.fingertec.com and http://tips.fingertec.com

TCMS V2 – THE BASICS • Time Clocking Management Software – Currently version 2.1.2 N • A Visual FoxPro development – currently on Visual FoxPro 9 • Requires to insert product key and activation key as protective measure • The software allows to configure settings in terminals – fast and easy • Can download & upload users information (IDs, fingerprints, passwords, Card IDs etc.) among all models • Can download transaction logs and stored into software • Used to prepare reports for both time attendance and access control • There are 3 levels of access to TCMS V2 software • Administrator – full access • Login – preview and print reports • Head of department – preview and print reports for same department

TCMS V2 – TIME ATTENDANCE FEATURES Clocking schedules – to set up company working time • Free to define clocking time by grouping concept • Cover most common working scenario – normal working hours, over night shifts, rotational shifts open shifts, flexi working hours etc. • Users do not need to define status during verification, software will automatically allocate the data Clocking rules – to set up company rules • Grace period for late in, early out etc • Over-Time (OT) calculation • Deduction of lunch time or dinner time 6 columns attendance sheet – easy and understandable viewing • Providing 6 columns to allocate time attendance data; In – Break – Resume – Out – OT – Done • Optional to change to; In – Lunch – Resume – Dinner – Resume – Out • Calculates Work time, OT time, short time automatically

TCMS V2 – TIME ATTENDANCE FEATURES Ad-hock features – to provide more flexibilities • Can edit clocking time, but original is kept as records • Can edit work time, OT time and short time, but original is kept as records Export to ASCII, XLS or ODBC – to work with other professional system • Attendance data can be exported and used with payroll system, HR system etc. • Predefined to arrange the data field and length of field Preview and Report – as reference to users and administrator • Provides a clear viewing of attendance data (in-out time, work time, OT, late in, early out etc.) • 12 types of time attendance reports ready to use • Report can save into digital format (DOC, XLS, PDF, JPG etc)

  17. TCMS V2 – ACCESS CONTROL FEATURES Time Zone, Group Time Zone & Access Codes • To set terminal to allow users to access into a certain zone for a certain time period only. For example, a store room is allowed to access only from 12:00 to 6:00pm. • Grouping concept to ease handling. Selectively to upload users to selected terminals • Only authorized users are uploaded to a terminal so that only these users can verify and open the door. Entry-Exit zone • Special for Antipassback function • To record time when user come in or leave

TCMS V2 – ACCESS CONTROL FEATURES Online Monitoring • As soon as a user verifies at the terminal, his/her ID and verification time is shown on the software screen • The software allows an easy monitoring of each staff’s movement • The users’ photos are displayed on the monitor together with other information Reports • 4 access control reports are ready to be used and can be saved into digital format (DOC, XLS, PDF, JPG etc) Raw data exporting • Can be exported into TXT file • Can be used with other professional systems

TCMS V2 VIEWER • Supports Login of normal users to check attendance data and to print reports by themselves. • TCMS v2 viewer can only be installed in the PC with TCMS v2 software • No special software is required to be installed in other users’ PC • In a network environment, user can login by using his/her password or fingerprint in case the OFIS scanner is installed. • Login can be done via web browser (Internet Explore or Mozila FireFox etc.) • Head of department can login to check attendance for those under his/her department. • Fast and Easy to use tool – no extra installation or training is required to normal users. • Understanding report viewing • Showing In – Break – Resume – Out – OT – Done • Showing Work Time, OT Time, Short Time • View by this month, previous month or this week

  23. TCMS V2 VIEWER FEATURES Allow enrollment of user login password through OFIS scanner. This feature is optional.

  24. TCMS V2 VIEWER FEATURES TCMSV2 Viewer supports multi language (English, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Spanish and Arabic).

  25. TCMS V2 VIEWER FEATURES Administrator has access to view every user’s attendance sheet using TCMS V2 viewer.

  27. TCMS V2 VIEWER FEATURES Allows printing out of attendance sheet report directly from a web browser without requiring installation of any software. The attendance sheet format is the same as the format of TCMS v2 attendance sheet.

ONLINE FINGERPRINT ENROLLMENT & VERIFICATION SERVER A PC with FRIS II installed and named as FRIS II server “giant-size” terminal • All fingerprints are stored inside the server – no limit of fingerprint capacity • All transaction logs are stored into database (My SQL or MS SQL) – no limit of transaction capacity FRIS terminals as capturing station • Sends fingerprint templates to FRIS II server for verification • Does not store any fingerprints or transaction logs • Does not verify fingerprints

ONLINE FINGERPRINT ENROLLMENT & VERIFICATION SERVER FRIS II server • Verifies fingerprints • Records transaction logs • Return message to the terminal as Failed or Passed verification OFIS scanner as FRIS client • Installed FRIS client at PC and plugged in OFIS scanner • PC is connected to the FRIS II server • User now can verify by using the OFIS scanner • Result of verification is displayed on the screen

ONLINE FINGERPRINT ENROLLMENT & VERIFICATION SERVER The data of FRIS II server stored in My SQL or MS SQL • TCMS v2 is used to connect to the FRIS II server to download transaction logs • TCMS v2 will generate time attendance report or access control report • TCMS v2 is a back-end software to process these transaction logs • TCMS v2 can link up many FRIS II server to copy and merge databases Benefits of FRIS II server • As giant-size terminal to enroll and verify users • No limit of users or transactions, do not need to separate users into different terminals • User can verify everywhere at every terminal • Database in My SQL or MS SQL could be used by other systems directly

CENTRALIZED DATABASE SERVER A PC installed with FRIS II as FRIS II server FRIS II server works with normal models, which are • Without FRIS function, terminal cannot capture and send FP to FRIS II server • Enrollment and verification are done inside the terminal • Transaction logs are stored in terminals FRIS II server now will work • To download/upload users among all terminals • To download transaction logs from the terminals • To save all transaction logs into My SQL or MS SQL database

CENTRALIZED DATABASE SERVER The data of FRIS II server stored in My SQL or MS SQL • TCMS v2 is used to connect to the FRIS II server to download transaction logs • TCMS v2 will generate time attendance report or access control report • TCMS v2 is back-end software to process these transaction log Good to use in big company with multiple departments. • All transaction logs are store inside a server – no interruption • Each department (or section, team etc) installed a copy of TCMS v2 • Head of department run TCMS v2 to connect to FRIS II server to download transaction logs • During downloading process, he/she must define the department so that only logs of the users under that department are downloaded. • Each department can configure TCMS v2 to generate attendance according to their clocking rules
