Preliminary Analyses • Effects of Salinity Regime & Shoreline Type • Effects of Watershed Landuse & Shoreline Type
Results-Salinity Regime & Shoreline Type • Significant effect of Shoreline Type on: • Slope, minimum water depth, maximum bed length, SAV frequency, SAV % cover, species richness and diversity • Significant interactions between Salinity and Shoreline Type: • Minimum water depth, SAV % cover and species richness
A SAV % cover higher @ natural sites B * *
B Min H2O depths shallower @ natural sites A *
SAV beds are more diverse and extended farther from shore @ natural sites
Results: Watershed Land-use • Significant effect of Landuse on: • Slope, start of bed, minimum water depth, maximum water depth, maximum bed length, SAV frequency, SAV % cover, species richness and diversity • Significant interactions between Landuse and Shoreline Type: • Maximum water depth, SAV % cover and species richness

Summary • Salinity Regime and Watershed Landuse are impacting SAV at subestuary scale • Shoreline type is also affecting SAV at finer scale: • SAV adjacent to natural shorelines have higher densities, species richness and diversity, and extend farther from shore
