  5. Chloroplast • Organelle in plants only where photosynthesis takes place.

  6. Chlorophyll • Green pigment in chloroplast that absorbs light

  7. Thylakoids • Contain the chlorophyll—absorbs sunlight

  8. Granum (Grana) • Stack of thylakoids

  9. Stroma • Fluid that surrounds granum—where glucose is produced
