  5. Federal, State, and District Mandates • AIMS/PARCC testing in April • Benchmark testing 2 times in middle of year • Pre/post testing for every subject • Synergy report card for each instructional standard in each grade level (Parent Vue) • Springboard Curriculum for 6th, 7th and 8th graders

  6. Staff Support for Multi-age • Multi-age is a great support for students developmentally • Staff and teachers want to keep multi-age at ANLC

  7. How do we stay true to CORE beliefs with the additional mandates? • Can we still do multi-age? • 1st/2nd graders lost 8 periods of instruction for 2 benchmark tests • Teachers report on specific instructional standards for each grade level • If a teacher’s time is constant and they are spending more time on differentiating two grade level standards to be recorded in Synergy then less time will be spent planning lessons and working with students • Increased class size

  8. Survey: Can you support Single Grade at ANLC?

  9. What’s next? • We want to hear from you? • Small groups to provide feedback on 4 questions • What are the reasons you came to ANLC? • What things need to be addressed/changed to improve ANLC? • What are suggested solutions? • What are ideas for highlighting or marketing our great school?
