Broad-Spectrum Antibiotics • Tetracyclines, Macrolides, and Lincosamides • Tetracyclines • Anti-infectives natural and synthetic compounds • Treatment of cholera, Rocky Mountain spotted fever. • May cause permanent discoloration of teeth children under 9. • Macrolides • Effective against a wide variety of pathogenic organisms especially infections of respiratory and genital tracts. • Treatment of gram-negative and positive organisms.
