Let’s do some math: ________________________________________________________ Genghis Khan: • 8 million square miles of empire • 40 million dead • 20 years of war • 5 dead for each square mile conquered • 2,000,000 dead each year (or 5480 dead each day!) • 400,000 square miles gained each year (or 1100 per day!) To put that in perspective: He murdered all of California and took over an area 2.5 times the size of the United States
