The sound that I heard was just a small beep. It was a higher pitched beep. It was not a very long beep, only lasted a second or two.
The beep was short just like the one I had before. What I noticed was that when I hit the caps lock key my screen when to a black background with white lettering instead of a white background. This only lasted for a second or two as well.
