  1. MUSIC AND ME TOO 1 By Joy Agre T

  2. MUSIC AND ME TOO 1 - Reading When candidates run for office, they choose a theme song for the campaign. In 1932, Franklin Roosevelt chose “Happy Days are Here Again.” John F. Kennedy had “High Hopes” in 1960. For his 1948 run for the presidency, Harry Truman picked “I’m Just Wild About Harry.”

  3. MUSIC AND ME TOO 1 - Question If you were running for office, what campaign song would get your vote?

  4. MUSIC AND ME TOO - Teacher’s Page First have students read the text silently. Then read text aloud as a class. Brainstorm the schema and stimulate ideas. Have students think in terms of modern musical groups and the fashions and trends those groups inspire as well as politics of today and its relationship to music. Guide them into thinking of what is important and valuable to them.
