Representing Students • You would represent 23,530 students registered for courses at the University of Derby. • You will be running in the elections to be their voice, to protect their educational interests and welfare of it’s members and provide them with opportunities to develop lifelong skills.

Achievements • The points on your manifesto will be the measure by which your time as a UDSU officer will be judged. • If you can demonstrate that you have delivered all or most of your campaign promises, that will be an achievement!
Making a difference to students • Street lighting around Markeaton Street. • Working with the Ashbourne Road Community. • Working with local schools and sports facilities for AU fixtures. • Providing shops at all campuses. All of this has been achieved by UDSU officers lobbying on YOUR behalf!
Employability Skills • By running in an election, whether you are successful or not, you will have gained key employability skills which employers are looking for. • Communication • Team work • Flexibility • Initiative • Organisation • Problem solving • Working to deadlines/to pressure/time management • Numeracy • Negotiation • Positivity
