  6. NEED HELP??? • We are offering weekly Math 6 help sessions every Thursday morning! • 8:15-8:45am • Locations will be posted on the blog

MATH – How can you help your child be ready? • Make sure your child is completing nightly homework • Check the blog for fun games and videos if your child isn’t proficient • Make sure your child is studying for Friday’s quiz/test • Use the MSG!! (The study guide for the unit is already there!!) • Be knowledgeable of the topics your child is learning, and point them out in everyday situations. Show them math in the “real world” to help them see the relevance. • Ask your child to show you what he or she is learning

SCHOOL RULES • Dress Code (see Student Agenda) • The following is not acceptable…holes in any garment, leggings/jeggings (worn under a skirt/dress/shorts or alone), pajama pants, flip flops, sport slides, tank tops • Behavior • Appropriate behavior is essential to a successful school year {this includes following directions / instructions} • Cats Cash (redeemable Thursday mornings) • Demerits (see student agenda!)

Classroom Procedures • Agenda • write homework daily • Behavior Card (see demerit system) • Homework….MOST nights!! • When in doubt check the Math blog!  • Daily Assignments • Warm-up or Computation Challenge (a.k.a. “Timed Tuesday”) • Check or Review Homework assignment • Activator • Classwork • Closing / Homework • Quiz or Test every Friday

Got Work? • Make-up Work • It is the student’s responsibility to make sure that all work is made up. • WHILE YOU WERE OUT Box and/or Check Math BLOG • Number of days absent plus one additional day to turn in work. • Late Work • Students who turn in late work will receive partial credit. • 10 points will be deducted for each day late (up to three days)
