  2. What you need to sign up for an account on Healthcare.gov

  3. Head to Healthcare.gov To get started click the Orange Button that says, “Apply Now”.

  4. It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3… Select Illinois from the dropdown menu. Click the green “Apply Online” button. Enter your name, address and e-mail address. Create a password – be sure to write it down! Answer some security questions, and click “Create Account”.

  5. Check your email. You should get an email like this. Just one more step! Click the link and verify your email address.

  6. You’re all done! This is what you should see after you click the link in your email. Congratulations! You have created an account at healthcare.gov. Check out the next slide for upcoming enrollment events!

  7. Attend an Enrollment Event at O’Hare Airport Join Get Covered America along with Enroll Chicago! Health & Disabilities Advocates and the Department of Aviation to learn about the new health insurance options now available. Enrollment Assisters from Get Covered Illinois will be on site to help walk you through the enrollment process, and answer any questions you may have. This event is free and open to the public.
