What is literature? • What is the difference between writing that is considered literature and writing that is considered entertainment? • Literature is defined as “written material such as poetry, novels, essays, etc. especially works of imagination characterized by excellence of style and expression and by themes of general or enduring interest” (Collins English Dictionary).
