As Media Evaluation How does your media product use, develop or challenge forms or conventions of real media products?
Masthead I looked at XXL as my case study magazine. I adopted the convention of using 3 letters seeing as this is creates a big impact. It is short, snappy and east to remember. A difference being that mine is a word in which when said, sounds explosive. This will encourage people to look into the magazine to see if the content is as massive as the masthead. I liked the look of white colours as they stand out imensly against practically any background. I feel a black outline against a purple background aids the words to greatly stand out. This will attract the readers eye when scanning along the shelves, resultantly causing more interest in the magazine. Unlike XXL I added a little tagline under the masthead to make it even more unique and attractive. This will draw in more readers as they look into see if what the tagline represents my content, is that base or music content really on point?
