1. Select a Topic/Pose a Statement Have five or six topics and ask students to move to the one they want to discuss or agree with!
2. Regroup by Colour • Name tag dots • Name bar • Handout colour • Folder colour • By pen colour.
3. Create a Learning Team Have one person from each table form new teams to explore content, conduct research or add to the discussion.
5. Change the Genre • Game Show • Talk Show • Respond only in 3 word sentences • Respond in mime!
6. Validate technology and refocus • Set to “Stun” not to “Kill” • Encourage tweeting and searching within boundaries.
13. Soft Opening • A pop quiz • Top 5 list • Magic trick • Cartoon • Quick clip.
15. Reality Check • Call the Elephant in the room • Negotiate on what we CAN change, rather than focusing on what we CAN’T!
