GENERAL EDUCATION General education is a classroom taught by the general education teacher. There are usually anywhere from 25-30 students. The classroom challenges students to develop skills needed to continue their education.
GENERAL EDUCATION WITH PULL-OUT Students are placed in a general education classroom but may be pulled out for an individualized learning approach by either one of the services needed for that individual. The pull-out teacher can monitor student and make sure they are mastering their skills provided.
SPECIAL EDUCATION Special education is designed to ensure that students with disabilities are provided with an environment that allows them to be educated effectively.
INCLUSION Inclusion is where a special education student is intergrated into a general education classroom.
CO-TEACHING The classroom consist of a general and a special education teacher that collaborate together to provide a learning experience for all children.
RESOURCE ROOM Resource room will provide students with enrichment opportunities. The students selected by their teacher will visit the resource room throughout the day to continue working on the curriculum provided.
SELF-CONTAINED A classroom with students who need special education instruction and any other services majority of the day. These students will all be placed together.
GIFTED AND TALENTED This is a self-contained classroom where students receive a variety of enrichment experiences that meets their learning needs.
HOME SCHOOLING Homeschooling is a school that takes place in the home by the parents or a professional tutor.
