Joseph Agiato Urges Donations to Support Leukemia Research (1888PressRelease) Joseph Agiato has been a lifelong advocate of giving back to his community, serving our country and supporting worthwhile causes. Joseph Agiato served our great country as a member in U.S. Military for 10 years, earning a rank of E5 before he was honorably discharged. Naples, FL; Joseph Agiato, longtime resident of Naples, Florida is reaching out to remind us of the importance of donating to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Joseph Agiato lost his mother to this unfortunate disease in July of 2011 and understands the need for additional funding and research to assist in ongoing efforts toward finding a cure. Joseph Agiato's mother, Charlotte Agiato, passed away at the age of 92 in Naples, Florida after years of battling acute leukemia. Charlotte Agiato was a resident of Middle Village, New York for the majority of her life but later moved to Naples to receive necessary ongoing care and support from her son, Joseph Agiato and his wife. Joseph Agiato's mother was born on June 23, 1919 and passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2011; a devastating loss for Joseph Agiato, he became determined to help find a cure so that others can beat the disease. According to research, over 40,000 people are diagnosed with leukemia every year. Joseph Agiato also served his community as a police officer for a number of years. Now that Joseph Agiato has retired, he has made efforts to support others through volunteering and donating to various causes. Prior his mother's passing, Joseph Agiato realized the importance of supporting leukemia research and after her death, became determined to donate regularly in an effort to find a cure. "Giving back doesn't always require a monetary donation," notes Joseph Agiato, "it can also include volunteering your time to lend a hand and help others in need."
