National Student Leadership Program • Reward students for coming to multiple conferences • Give students something to take back from attending programs • Developing leaders through programing sessions and community service
National Student Leadership Program • Two main levels • Certified • Master • Must become certified before achieving master level • Combines community service, program attendance and presentations, along with conference attendance
Level 1 • “Certified” • Attendance of at least one Regional or No Frills, and one NACURH conference • 30 hours of community service • Present 2 programs • Complete annual reflection of community service and applied experience • Submit an RFI report of a campus program you had an active leadership role in; must be different from the required affiliation RFI report • Attend “Novice” core programs (presented programs are included) • Verification form
Level 2 • “Master” • Attendance of at least two Regional or No Frills, and two NACURH conferences • 50 hours of community service • Present 3 programs • Complete annual reflection of community service and applied experience • Attend “Master” core programs (presented programs are included) • Submit a RFI report of a campus program you had an active leadership role in; must be different from required affiliation RFI report • Letter of recommendation/verification (This list is IN ADDITION to the “Certified” Status level.)

Programming Tracts Programs will be offered at both Regional and NACURH conferences. To ensure that programs stay consistent throughout NACURH, “quality control” sessions will be done for the NBD at Semis and Annual meetings.
How will this be recorded? • Delegates are in charge of keeping track of which programs they have attended and turning in information to their regional board. • Programs will be designated as NSLP programs by special marking in the delegate binders
Presumed Recognition • Certificate presented to participants at NACURH • Possible database created • Housing Offices at schools with participants notified
Projected Impact on NACURH • Short term: • Increased conference attendance on the regional and national levels • Retention • Another tactile resource for member schools • Long term: • Recruitment opportunity • Strategic Planning
