  1. I Corinthians 9:24-27 24. Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. 25. Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable 26. Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; 27.but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.

Matthew 7:13,14 • Going through the motions of running doesn’t guarantee a victory, it takes much more! Matthew 7:21-23 • There are those who teach that “to begin is to win” but, this is simply not true. Rev. 2:9-11 • Therefore, “run in such a way that you may win”! v. 24

Heb.10:35-39; 12:1-3 • Run with aim. v. 26; Hebrews 12:2

Luke 8:14 • Relatives and friends. Mt 10:37; I Cor. 15:33 • False words. II Peter 2:1-3 • Realize that any cost and all the effort is worth it! v. 25; Mt 5:29-30; Phil 3:7-21 • Finish the course. II Tim 4:7-8; II Pet 2:20-22
