The Primary Years Programme • Primary Years Programme (PYP) • For students aged 3-12 • Started in 1997 • Offered by over 800 IB World Schools. • “It is a transdisciplinary programme of international education designed to foster the development of the whole child.”
The Diploma Programme • Diploma Programme (DP) • For students aged 16 to 19 • Started in 1968 • First examinations in 1970 • Offered by over 2300 IB World Schools. • “The Diploma Programme is a challenging two-year programme of international education for students aged 16 to 19.”
The Middle Years Programme • Middle Years Programme (MYP) • For students aged 11-16 • Started in 1994 • Offered by over 900 IB World Schools. • “It is a programme of international education designed to help students develop the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and skills necessary to participate actively and responsibly in a changing world.”
