Your Eye Shall Not Pity • The feeling of compassion caused by the suffering and misfortunes of others. • Synonyms: compassion-mercy-sympathy-ruth • Attribute of God Isaiah 63:9 • Attribute that God desires for usJonah 4:10-11 • The aim of the lesson is for us to understand that in matters where God has expressed His sovereign Will-- we must restrain our pity--- our duty is simply to obey!

Your Eye Shall Not Pity • Deut 7:16- “your eye shall not pity them” • Deut 13:6-9- “nor shall your eye pity them” • Deut 25:11-12- “your eye shall have no pity” • 1 Peter 5:8- Sober-dispassionate-influenced by strong emotion • Our adversary Satan will use our emotions, such as pity, as a tool to destroy us!   • In matters were God has expressed His will, we need to be on guard not to allow our eye to pity. In these areas we cannot me more merciful than God!

  5. Your Eye Shall Not Pity • In matters were God has expressed His will, we need to be on guard not to allow our eye to pity. In these areas we cannot me more merciful than God! 

  6. Your Eye Shall Not Pity • Eze 8:18 Therefore I will act in wrath. My eye will not spare, nor will I have pity. And though they cry in my ears with a loud voice, I will not hear them." • Eze 9:1 Then he cried in my ears with a loud voice, saying, "Bring near the executioners of the city, each with his destroying weapon in his hand." • Eze 9:5 ………, "Pass through the city after him, and strike. Your eye shall not spare, and you shall show no pity.

For they say, 'The LORD has forsaken the land, and the LORD does not see.' • Eze 9:10 As for me, my eye will not spare, nor will I have pity; I will bring their deeds upon their heads."

To receive Pity • Eze 9:4 And the LORD said to him, "Pass through the city, through Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the abominations that are committed in it." • Eze 9:6 Kill old men outright, young men and maidens, little children and women, but touch no one on whom is the mark. And begin at my sanctuary." So they began with the elders who were before the house. •  2Ti 2:19 But God's firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: "The Lord knows those who are his," and, "Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.“
