Giving someone the feeling that they are good for nothing, by how we speak to them is a type of killing through verbal abuse, for example a father to a son/daughter, mother to a son/daughter, a boss to an employee, a husband to a wife/wife to a husband, even a sibling to another sibling. How are we choosing our words, what are the messages we are giving? Let us ask ourselves: Have I caused the injury or death of any one, or wished they were dead, through evil intent, envy or harsh words? Have I done anything to shorten my own life or that of someone else through an unhealthy lifestyle? Have I given way to anger, or harmed others with words or actions? Have I defamed others reputation through gossip, or failed to stand up for those unjustly treated? Have I been cruel to anyone with my words or attitude or killed my own spirit through harboring bitterness against someone? Have I failed to forgive anyone or harbored evil thoughts against them?
