Shot Message • A message is one of the following: • MO to SMSC • SMSC to MT • SMSC to ESME • ESME to SMSC • Message Size - 160 7-bit characters - Concatenated SMS using Multiple Messages with UDH containing segmentation information 153 7-bit characters - Maximum 255 segments (Practically 5-6 segments)

  13. Retry Algorithm • How long SMS will be stored and How many times SMS will be retried is decided by the Retry Algorithm • There is a configurable retry algorithm against each MT error.
