PowerPoint in the Classroom • PowerPoint is made to enhance a classroom presentation • A teacher may present a new lesson through Powerpoint • A teacher may also ask for students to use PowerPoints to re-teach what they have learned
Features that enhance a PowerPoint • Animation • Sounds • Attention grabbing COLORS • For Backgrounds & Fonts
Things to Avoid • Small Font • Font Color that doesn’t stand out • Sentences that are way too long and basically ruin the point of using Powerpoint anyway. Powerpoint is not made for reading word for word. Powerpoint was made to supplement the presentation.
Examples • For Teaching a lesson C:\Users\user\Documents\My Visit to the Zoo by Aliki.pptx • How Students can use Powerpoint • C:\Users\user\Documents\How We Learned to Grow a Plant.pptx
