Systemic infection • affects the entire body • fever • aches • chills • nausea • vomiting • weakness 2.02 Understand infection control procedures
Endogenous • Infection or disease originating within the body • Includes metabolic disorders, congenital abnormalities, tumors, and infections caused by microorganisms within the body • (endo- inside; genous- type or kind) 2.02 Understand infection control procedures
