N ancy Reagan was born July 6, 1921 in New York City. Her true name is Anne Frances Robbins, but she acquired the nick-name Nancy at a young age.
A s a young girl, she decided to follow in her mother’s footsteps to become an actress. She first started off by starring in Broadway productions, then went on to star in Hollywood movies.

D uring her husband’s presidency, her and her husband experienced some tragic and traumatic events. Her husband was injured during an assassination attempt against him. N ancy was noticed for her composure and support for her husband during this time.
A fter her husband’s presidency, she was faced with the struggle against breast cancer. She won that battle, and soon played a leading role in the struggle that is forced upon millions of Americans. Her husband sadly developed Alzheimer’s disease. She was there fighting with him till the end.
lso, during her husband’s presidency, she supported and accomplished many other things; such as supporting the Foster Grandparents Program, made the slogan “Just Say No” famous in her battle to stop drug and alcohol abuse. She also supported and endorsed stem cell research, and help families of soldiers who were P.O.W. (prisoners of war) or M.I.A. (missing in action)
N ancy Reagan is still alive and well today at the age of 88.
