Galatians Purpose for writing: Pastoral concerns A). Counter false teaching (1:7, 4:17, 5:10, 5:7, and 5:12) 1). The requirements for joining the people of God - circumcision 2). The validity of the Torah in the church a). Continued favor and purity
Galatians *In effect, they wanted to preserve fully the Jewishness of the new Christian movement and keep it firmly anchored within Judaism. Even accepted Christ and His work *Acts 21:20 – thought to be spreading apostasy
