Introduction & Mission Since the foundation of Project HOPE in 1958 by William Walsh, we believe good health is essential for social and economic development, and ultimately for the dignity of every human being. Through partnerships and education, and by teaching people to help themselves, Project HOPE strives to improve health standards around the world. Today HOPE serves in more than 30 countries conducting health care and humanitarian assistance programs.
Global Programs & Capabilities Health Professional Education: training tomorrow’s health leaders today Infectious Disease: empowering individuals and communities to fight HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B, avian flu, tuberculosis, and malaria with prevention and treatment education
Health Systems & Facilities: strengthening services at health facilities – from clinics to specialized children’s hospitals – with equipment and training Global Programs & Capabilities Health of Women and Children: improving practices at the community level, quality of care at facility level, and linking the two to improve maternal and child health
