Case Presentation • A four week old, Landrace/Yorkshire, male porcine presented for necropsy in February 2006 (n = 120) • Clinical presenting complaint – severe respiratory distress Presented at SEVPAC 2007 – Permission granted for use on SEVPAC website only
Gross Findings • Large mass involving the anterior cervical region • Transverse sectioning ~ 4 cm x 4 cm x 4 cm, firm, multinodular grayish-white mass attached to C1 and C2 • Infiltration of mass into adjacent skeletal muscle • Lungs – Mild interlobular edema Liver – Focal, 1 mm x 1 mm, grayish white areas (capsular and parenchymal in origin) Presented at SEVPAC 2007 – Permission granted for use on SEVPAC website only
