2. Criteria Human creative genius: i. to represent great human creativeness. Interchange of values: ii. to show an important interchange of human values. Testimony to cultural tradition: iii. to bear a unique example of cultural tradition. Significance in human history: iv. to be an exceptional example of a type of building or architectural or technological group of small buildings.

3. Criteria Traditional human settlement: v. to be a great example of human settlement, land usage or sea usage which is representative of a culture/s or human interaction with the environment. Heritage associated with events of universal significance: vi. to be directly associated with happenings or traditions, with ideas, beliefs and artistic and literary works of great world wide significance.

4. Criteria Natural phenomena or beauty: vii. to contain great natural phenomena or areas of superb natural beauty and huge importance. Major stages of Earth's history: viii. to be amazing examples representing important stages of Earth's history, including the record of life and significant continuing geological processes in the development of landforms.

5. Criteria Significant ecological and biological processes: ix. to be great examples representing important continuing ecological and biological processes in the evolution and development of terrestrial, fresh water, coastal and marine ecosystems and communities of living organisms. Significant natural habitat for biodiversity: x. to contain the most important natural habitats for the conservation of biological diversity, including those containing endangered species of outstanding universal value from the point of view of science or conservation.

Angkor Criteria: human creative genius, interchange of values, testimony to cultural tradition and significance in human history. • Angkor is located in the deep forests of Cambodia. • People decided that it was a world heritage site in 1992. • Angkor was built in the 12th century. • Angkor is a Buddhist temple. • The temple mountain was built as a spiritual home for the ancient Hindu god Vishnu.

Easter Island Criteria: Human creative genius, Testimony to cultural tradition and Traditional human settlement. • The islands are located in Chile and they were designated in 1995. • The stone block that are carved into the head and torso figures are about 13 feet or 4 metres tall. • Most scholars suspect that the statues on the island were created to honour ancestors or chiefs of the island.

Great Barrier Reef Criteria: natural phenomena or beauty, major stages of Earth's history, significant ecological and biological processes and significant natural habitat for biodiversity. • The Great Barrier Reef is located in Australia and was designated in 1981. • 2,000 different fish species have been identified on the Great Barrier Reefand new ones are usually found each year.

The Great Wall Criteria: human creative genius, interchange of values, testimony to cultural tradition, significance in human history and heritage associated with events of universal significance. • The Great Wall is located in China and was designated in 1987. • 50% of the wall has already disappeared because of destruction and 30% is crumbled into tiny, little pieces.

14. Uluru Criteria: natural phenomena or beauty and cultural significance. • Uluru is located in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia. • Uluru is also known as Ayers Rock. • Uluru is sacred to the Anangu people, the Aboriginal people of that specific area. • Uluru is 348 m (1,142 ft) tall and the total circumference of Uluru is 9.4 km (5.8 mi).

16. Machu Picchu Criteria: human creative genius, testimony to cultural tradition, major stages of Earth's history and significant ecological and biological processes. • It is one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. • When Machu Picchu was built 500 years ago the Inca had no iron, no steel, and no wheels. • Today Machu Picchu is far from excluded, in fact, it is a must see for all tourists.
