Progress since February 2016 meeting in Zagreb- Hong Tan • Application to Home Office Innovation Funding- £c10m approved for 2 Child Houses: • Purchase and refurbish 2 Child Houses- by Dec 2016 • Design pathways for care, support, evidence gathering, justice outcomes- by Jan 2017 • Recruit Paediatricians, clinical psychologists, therapists, administration and other staff- to start in Jan 2017 • Open Child Houses- April 2017

Progress since February 2016 meeting in Zagreb- Hong Tan • Application to Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital Charity for feasibility of a Child House in SE London- approved • Cross Government • Presentation to Cross Government Child Sexual Abuse Directors- March 2016 • Development of Cross Government Child Sexual Abuse Policy Leads Group on Child House- February 2016 • Delegation of  Office of the Children’s Commissioner to Barnahus, Reykavik, Iceland- April 2016 • Opening of Children and Young People’s Haven- April 2016

Children and Young People’s Haven- Andrea Goddard • New service started April 1st 2016 with increased access, full time paediatricians and child psychologists • In first 2 months: • 22 forensic medical examinations, • ~ 40 % increase on previous numbers • Of services previously not available- • 9 have accessed follow-up, 5 psychological sessions • Psychologists soon to be trained in forensic interviewing • Room being equipped for forensic interviewing
