13. A. The proclamation is multiple

14. (Rev 14:8) And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

15. This is the 1st direct mention of the city of Babylon in our study of the book of Revelation. But will be mentioned 6 more time from here on out. • Why would God mention the that she has fallen 2 times in the same passage? • Stress his point • Convicting proclamation • Talking about 2 different thing? The law of 1st mention would take you I back to Gen. 10 • In this chapter we find a man named Nimrod (rebellion) as a mighty hunter against the Lord • He is the King over a kingdom in opposition to God • He is building a city called “Shinar” (commercial) and a tower (religious) • The reason for the double proclamation is to announce that both have fallen NOTES
